I found this today and don't know what to make of it. 1991 no mint marks. The face looks fine, but there is definitely to distinctive reverse rotated about 200° from each other.I can't get a very good picture but I thought I see if anyone knew with this could be.
A rotated reverse in good condition is collectible and will carry a small premium. In that condition, the premium will be small.
I'll bet the legends in the 'over strike' are backward, making me call that a glue job or squeeze job.
Oh, I see, one is upside-down. Yeah, if it sits down, it's a squeeze job, sits up, it's a glue job. In any case, it's not a Mint job.
Thanks for the replies. After looking at it again I think you guys are right and it looks like it may be glue.
They fool most of us the first time around we see them. Acetone (a.k.a., nail polish remover) in a good long soak and some prying will usually get it off, or much of it. Not that the coin is necessarily worth saving, but just for the experience, just to see it's just a strong glue, for the next one that comes along.
