I guess being from Texas I should have had one of these a long time ago. Bought it raw. I grade AU, but AU what? 50,55,58? I can't find a Photograde for Commemorative coins. Your opinions welcome. Looking for a nice Arkansas to go with it soon.
Kind of what I'm thinking. Wear on both breast and knees, but hard to tell if part of that may be weakness. I am not an expert on this coin, but I sure do like it.
I agree that it is a pretty coin, it does appear as though there is some weakness in the strike but maybe light rubbing on the high points also.
This is a nice coin with great appeal what ever the grade 58. 81 yrs old and looking great nice find!
I looked at graded coins to make my choice i found a PCGS AU-58 $199.00.There were many grades to choose from i was surprised.
LOL I don't know enough about the 1936 Texas commemorative except it was the highest mintage in the series 61,463 Maybe Santa will put it in your stocking!
