The Cent is 2.5 grams. Is this PMD, or did it fail to be correctly coated in copper? KIMG0219.JPG KIMG0221.JPG

Where do you find all your crazy looking Cents! :wacky:
I have seen plating issues like your cent elsewhere but they were not determined to be Plating Error issues. PMD if it was tampered with such as heated with a flame or some kind of chemical poured on it.
This is what I understand as being a Incomplete Plating error - (I want to share this webpage with you) - http://www.error-ref.com/incomplete_plating/

heat would melt the zinc prior to messing with the copper. It does not seem to be dipped or influenced via chemicals. It is almost like the plating just ran out as this coin was going through the process.
    In rolls of course :)

Heat can change the color of the copper plating.

I can rule out heat, except for baking it in a potato. but chemicals could be the answer.
