Skunked on $80 in nickels, a combination of CWR and BWR. A few pre-1960 keepers but nothing of note this week.

    Three boxes Loomis halves:

    Box 1--- One 40% and a very nice 2014-P
    Box 2--- Five 40%, one 90%, a proof 1979 (got tossed back...pretty nasty)
    Box 3--- Five 40%.

All boxes had NIFC's in them, but I am getting pretty fussy on the ones I keep.

    Nickels: 1 book filler - 1955 (P). Also 1941, 1946, 1949, 1954-D (x2), 1957

Pennies: 1 wheat (beat up 1955), 3 2009's, average pct of copper, plus these two oddities:

1980 with a screwed up "0", and a Lincoln Cent from 198 AD! Unbelievable that it's still shiny 1800 years later. The reverse shows similar patterns of wear, but still shiny with no evidence of cleaning.

Went through $3500 in dimes today, got 12 silver out of it, not the best for 3 and a half bags, got 2, 3, 4 and 3 in the half bag.

Not the prettiest Barber ever found CRH'ing, but it's a first for me, and I think she's beautiful (especially for a 100-year-old broad...even if she does look like a guy... a guy who's been through a world war... twice...)

A box of nickels this morning, few finds - but being one for quality vs. quantity I am pleased:

The only "common" coin that was a saver is the '41 nickel, the rest are cooler, but the Buffer just about made me soil my breeches. It is the earliest dated Buffer I have found, and is my best smaller denomination find in over a year.

Later on I searched $40 in nickels from a bank closer to where I work - one find only a '42-P. BTW I don't save '50s dates unless they are 50, 51 and the S minted coins.

I was telling the vault teller about finding the '14 - she said she would love to have the time and patience to search rolls of coins, she is a bit of a coin collector herself. I told her I don't have time or patience, mine is more like an addiction that must be fed.

Not a find, but did some crop dusting today....released some dateless buffalos, and a few liberty nickels back into the wild...tired of tripping over them

I still keep dateless buffalo nickels, the coin dealer I go to buys them for 7 cents so its still something.
