found this 1945 dime in a refrigerator behind the light bulb. My second real coin to find. is the coin more valuable than the refrigerator?
Make sure when you abandon that refrigerator on the curb to recycle it you remove the door as otherwise a coin might get stuck inside and suffocate. The criminal codes in every state require that.
Thanks for the reply and the info on the doors I'm already recycling it thanks though. That's how I found a dime in it.
I know. How coincidental. But the recycling guys will remind you about the door. I guess the dime was used for conduction. Just a real cool find in there and it's not in bad shape, either.
Looks like a freezer? Does it work? If so, good to keep dead body in until you can dispose of it properly. Just saying!!!
Are you able to post a close up or the rev of that?It looks like you just might have a full split band dime there!Sweet find welcome aboard.
That fridge doesn't look old enough to be a contemporary of that dime. I'll bet that it's post 1964, maybe 70 something.
Nice picture but to answer that question, we need a close up of the back side (reverse) of the coin. The term "full split bands" is that the bands around the torch are complete and not affected by wear
I don't know if it's worth more than a refrigerator, up to you I guess. I have a coin that I figured was worth more than a tire. Plugged the tire and aired it up twice a day for a week and a half so I could get the coin before the tire. Didn't see them running out of tires anytime soon.
