Is this SLQ a 1919-D or an altered 1929-D?

    Almost impossible to tell. You're going to get a bunch of answers in either direction. I don't think its altered, but it could be anything.

    Randy_K Love them coins...

    Starting in 1925 the date was recessed into the design rather than raised from it to stop wear from obliterating the date. This date doesn't look like it's is sitting in a recession.
