Hello everybody. I'm new here but been collecting pocket change treasures for the last few years. I have recently began trying to memorize the different error types and how to distinguish common errors from the valuable errors. For the most part I'm getting it ok, but I have this one particular dime that has me unsure if it's a error or just damaged. Its a 1997 P Roosevelt that is clearly not normal.. I can see that it has minor yet obvious flaws from the minting process but not clear if the main error occurred during that process or post circulation. If abybody knows what this is or has any input or advice please share . any new knowledge is helpful knowledge. Ive attacheda couple pics that show both sides of the dime. I will post some more from different angle if it is helpful. Thank you IMG_20150925_165845.jpg IMG_20150925_165811.jpg IMG_20150925_165845.jpg

Yea. I'm thinking that myself. I figured since I'm not very familiar with all the different types of errors and what they can look like, mabey it could b a type of error I don't know yet. Thanks you for giving me an opinion other than my own. Lol. Every lil thing i can learn from other collectors is greatly appreciated by myself

It's not normal because it was damaged after it left the mint. PMD. Spend it.

Looks like someone had fun with a Dremel rotary tool with a stone grinding wheel attachment.

If you are trying to learn errors, this is a very good resource ... http://www.error-ref.com
