Thanks Rick, I forgot to hit that button, had to go back and edit...Hey, I like they put up that button where it just adds from the gallery you upload to, as opposed to manually putting the URL in the post. :)

They are in decent shape. The first one (left most) looks to be a definite AU coin. You will probably get more than $15 each, but consider shipping costs and Ebay/PayPal fees which come close to 15% of the sale.

So if you sell each for $20, you will pay $2 for shipping and close to $3 in Ebay/Paypal fees.

The best way to know what you will get is to find a few for sale already and watch their auctions. The key is describing the coins accurately and understanding the key dates and varieties. Good luck!

The only cleaning I would do would be a soak in acetone and rinse with water to get the paper off. If those are '28 Piece Dollars, I would think you could get quite a bit more than melt for them.

Hi and welcome to CT. Your price is too low. One of the companies I buy from is currently a little over $20.00 for cull grades but they all have dates. Given the .07734 oz. of silver in each dollar, times the current rate of silver (spot at $15.15), they are worth $11.717 each. Naturally, any of the key or semi key dates will bring you more. Send me a PM if you really want to sell.

The Peace Dollars are all 1923's, right? The center one in the first group looks like it may be a 1928, which would be worth a bit even in this condition. Assuming it was a Philadelphia coin.

Acetone will dissolve the adhesive and remove the paper.

If the '21 Morgan is for sale... do let me know with better pictures if possible. Thank you :)

On ebay, you will get more money listing them individually, probably around $21 each, but after shipping and eBay+paypal fees of 13%, it would be pretty much $15. A good local coin shop will offer you $18-20 each at least and a 1928-P could be worth hundreds.

Right. Yeah, I was figuring after fees it would come to that. I've called around local shops and they quoted me about the same amount.

A few have a good luster to them still, so they could go for more? Yes? No?

I would say I have probably more 1921 Morgans than any other day, 3 or 4 are Denver mint and I think 1 is 1921-S...I think. The rest are plain 1921s.

I was quoted a little bit less (dollar or 2) for the Peace Dollars for some reason.

The actual wholesale price of cull Peace dollars is around $17, of 1921 Morgan culls $18 and pre 1921 Morgans $19. Your coins are definitely not cull. I would be surprised if you weren't able to convince one of the shops to give you $18 each for everything.

Actually, I see now that AU 1923s are going for $25-30 on eBay.

Well, yeah, the shop owner just gave me a verbal, but he would actually have to SEE them to get an accurate assessment of their value.

Most of them lost their luster, but have good relief. Imagine "grey", but pretty good relief to them.

One shop owner was like "Don't clean 'em!" I actually Ebay searched, "Cleaned Morgan Dollars' and people are still buying them at 20 bucks per coin. May not even matter to some Ebay buyers.

    We'll see what happens :)

    Thanks
