"What is this"!!?? A double die?

What kind of penny did I find? Is it a 1990 double die?

Not even close to a Doubled Die - Looks like a PMD - It's a Post Mint Damage corroded Cent.
Something, maybe a harsh chemical, made the copper plating come off like that.

 

The correct term is Doubled Die not Double.. big difference

If it was a doubled die, and I'm not saying that it is, with all of that damage, it's worthless.

 

PMD= post mint damage. corrroded. ground down to the zinc level ?

 

Looks like the time I accidentally left a zinc I found metal detecting in rust remover I used to clean my clad I found metal detecting, the cleaning solution was nearly pure Phosphoric Acid, I would never put anything rare there except for rusty iron and a brush to clean the rust on the shelf in the bathroom.
