What do you guys think of this one (It's housed in an ANACS holder)? Unfortunately, I only have scans of the coin at the moment.

    Zane,

I like the look of the coin. It has nice, pleasing eye appeal and good looking color. I would say that this coin technically may have a very slight touch of wear or rub, but still be a coin that gets a low MS grade due to market grading and eye appeal.

I'll go with about a 61 or 62 for the grade. Nice coin!

I think that there is just enough wear on Miss Liberty's hair and the Eagle's head to bring the grade down to an AU-55!

i would go AU55 based on the picture - probably a 58 in hand. that is a very lovely coin.

Nice color; pretty piece. I'm thinkin' AU-53... clearly there's wear on Liberty's curls.

Nice Bust Half Zane. Id have to go about an AU58. Like Shortgap said, its got excellent eye appeal and great color. Its a very nice coin to add to your collection.

Looks like an old cleaning (30-50 years ago) perhaps anywhere from AU53-MS60 based on the pics

I base my cleaned coin opinion on my experience with the Overton Capped Bust Half Dollars. These seem to have been the most cleaned coins of any series I am familiar with. It doesn`t matter whether they are G-VG, F-VF, or XF and AU and beyond examples. Tens of Thousands of these were cleaned sometime in the 1940`s- 1950`s era. I have no idea why. It seems systemic with the Capped Bust Half Dollars. You have to have owned a bunch of these over the years, and seen a whole lot more to get the" feel" for "original" capped bust half dollars.

I welcome any other Capped Bust Half fans to weigh in with their opinions....... John Reich Collectors Society is my next objective....... (Dammit!!! Can`t belong to everything!!!)

Zane, That's easily an AU-55 coin.

Very nice and thanks for sharing.

It is in an ANACS ms-61 holder, and I personally think PCGS would grade it higher than a 61. I'll update after PCGS grades it, provided I remember to do so.
