2007 dime weirdness

    Looks like some liquid or grease somewhere in middle? My D-Mint Washington Quarters have the
    very same features!

    did you notice the doubling of the letters? look at the D in the word dime - i just happen to look at the coin cause it was the 3rd 2007-P i've seen.

    i doubt it's a double struck coin, must be something up with the die.

    The experts will eventually weigh in, but this may be the more common mechanical doubling. i.e.
    no notched-serif artifacts.

    This may be a case of 'Die Deterioration Doubling'

    Die Deterioration Doubling, Die errosion doubling, both mean the same thing.
