In reference to original post. Please, tell me what you guys think your thoughts and opinion will be greatly appreciatled. From the research and analysis that I performed with 14x 20x magnification there are no evidence of plating... Im 99% sure its not plated. The coin weighs 5.7 grams and has no copper core... Will post pictures asap.

Did you post the Sacagawea for comparison? So far I really can't tell. Better pictures of the Obverse and Reverse sides will help. Also the edge. If you don't see the copper layer.. IMO it's most likely plated.

Yes, the Sacagawea was only for comparison.. As for plating science lab microscope that zooms up to 40x I also have a commercial gold plated dime that i compared it with there was difference i can see coated on dime clearly but on the quarter nothing its even more define than if it was an actual quarter.. Yes, I can and will post more pictures thank you.

honestly I only kept a couple as examples to have on hand. this type of toning isn't really desirable. it's a spender. I have a GEORGEOUS rainbow toned ATB quarter. I tried finding it to show you a good keeper but I couldn't find it

you never know it could be. others have told me things I asked about were nothing and I still sent them in just to be sure. if you strongly believe it, send it mr. Wexler and find out for sure.

You have a gold (or other metal) plated quarter. I can see the difference in color on the obverse where the plating has been worn off from circulation. These were sold in sets to unsuspecting folks who thought they where buying something vsluable, when in fact what the were buying were quarters that are considered damaged coins by the numismatic community.

Here is a set I just sold for 3.99 on ebay which included shipping...and I still made a proffit...should give you a clue as to what I paid for it.
