partial coin and is one next to it a proof or not

    A severely cracked planchet coin can have a good strike and then break in two at a later date. I don't believe that this is the case with this coin. The 1990 is not a proof.

    Talked with a dealer at our club show this weekend who was disgusted that NGC put his "split coin" into two separate holders instead of one. Found both halves in a mint sealed bag.
