Just got notified that there were a limited number of these available (51) to be exact. This is a 3 coin set that has the reverse proof, proof, & BU 1 Onza coin. These were only given out to mint employees. Im pretty happy, Thanks Pat for the heads up
1,000 sets. Silverpoint, they don't ship to PO Boxes? $1,000 of dollars of silver and gold delivered from APMEX, JM Bullion, eBay ect, to my PO Box Monthly.
Response by email "Hi XXXXXX, sorry no PO box. UPS do not accept it for international shipping." I receive coins from Mexico from 2 eBay sellers, hmmmm. Anyway the set is out of stock. FYI, I live in Baja California Mexico, but my PO Box is in California. My Mexican LCS Dealer is going to Guadalajara next Month, he'll be looking for that and other hard to find sets, like the 2010 200 year Anniversary sets. Adellita, Hidalgo ect...
It would have been great if the two US dealers who offered these sets to their "select clientele only" for around $400 each would have handled it better, but as it stands they took the GovMint route where they've made some list of their customers they make special offers to, without letting anyone know what the criteria is for "making the list", then ignored any inquiries from their "second class" customers regarding these sets. They've both lost our business after we've spent thousands with both dealers over the last few years, and NO THANKS TO THEM I already have a 3 coin set in hand. Going forward I'll pay more, or do without rather than give them another penny of our business . . . and I thought how APMEX handled their ugly packaged 2 coins sets was shady . . .
Picked up 2 of the available 5. Did thru PayPal so there's a paper trail (not sure who "they" are). Maybe good purchase, maybe not...time will tell.
Received my two sets today - UPS (did NOT have to sign...he just left it on doorstep, hmmmm). Sets look GREAT, Coins look GREAT (10x loupe). All features (details) that should be there ARE there. Interesting, the 2015 BU (satin) looks softer to me...the lines on the mountains, her raised foot, the cactus bottom right, etc. Does anyone else share this opinion, and I have noticed different years are sharper/softer, ie., nipple, facial lines. Box and COA are as expected and reflect my other sets (5-coin/7-coin Au & Ag). The ONLY thing I noticed as different and troubling is the white, outer sleeve. It is more paper than cardboard as in all other sets. Concur? I received two consecutive COA's in the mid 200's. By the way...the COA states that 1000 were made of THIS 3-coin set. Kind of blows the air out of the special Apmex 2-coin.
yeah the outer white sleeve is ridiculously cheapo on my 2015 5 Silver set. They get their premium approved and give us this. I don't think the 7 coin set has this problem.
Our paper thin sleeves came with the MS70 graded 5 coin silver proof sets, not the 3 coin set. The 3 coin sets have the nice sturdy sleeve we expected, with the same thickness etc as the 7 coin set sleeves...Interesting!
I to hurried home when I got a text at the package arrived and shocked that I don't have to sign for it. I got serial number in the mid 200 range to and I saw on another site a guy only 4 digits off of mine. They must have handed the consecutively in order. I was waiting for the set to pop up somewhere because I did not want Apmex on the box. It is like going to a ball game and having the field named after the biggest ... don't get me wrong I buy from Apmex all the time I just don't want to name on my coin. The risk paid out for all of us ic!!
