South African 50 cents 1961 there is a letter "C" instead of letter "O" in word SOUTH Africa , and the orintation is wrong, it should be a Medal allignment but its a Coin .
From the abrupt termination, I suspect you're looking at a chipped working hub. This rare hub defect, in combination with a 180 degree rotated die error, should lend the coin respectable value.

Does your coin have the initials CLS under near the Springbok? Maybe fake? Compare to these pictures.
