It's sometimes spooky how people can look into the future on this web-site! Two years ago I read an artical about a bi-metalic coin commemorating "the Pony Express"; the artical refer to a 2009 date. HAS ANYONE HEARD ABOUT THIS!!!
What country was supposed to produce it? I've never seen any official (or semi-official) predictions of a US bimetallic or any kind.
If there is going to be a bimetallic commemorative,it sounds like it will be struck at the Pobjoy Mint for the Isle of Man,or struck at another mint for Liberia. Aidan.
I have bought a Proof version of " the Libary of Congress" bi-metallic commemorative coin from the United States Mint: the question remains -Has anyone heard about another bi-metallic commemerative coin?
there have been several, not many from the US .. i do seem to remember (vaguely) a bi-med coin from Iceland ... i dont remeber for sure but i think it was commem ...
Not I. Have seen that coin, it's nice... the first (and to date the only) bimetallic coin the US has ever produced. That's one of the coins on my dream list! So far, the 2000 $10 Library of Congress commemorative is the only bimetallic coin the US has ever produced.

Gold/silver would be nice, and would make it more affordable than the gold/platinum Library of Congress was.
