Can someone please tell me the current Greysheet bid/ask values for an 1883 Shield Nickel? PF63, PF64, and PF65?

What does a 1884 proof three cent piece have to do with the value of an 1883 proof shield nickel ?

I don't have a grey sheet but as a collector of shield nickels the 1883 proof was the highest mintage 5419
    The 1882 (3100) 1881 (3575) 1880 (3955) 1879 (3200)
1878 only minted in proof (2350) 1877 proof only (875)
    1876 (1150) 1875 (700) 1874 (700) 1873 (1100-1650) Closed 3 1872 (950) 1871 (960) 1870 (1000) 1869 (600)
    1868 (600) 1867 NO (600) 1867 Rays (15-25) 1866 (375)
And yes your's still has value but it is the highest mintage for proof shield nickels .

Yeah, I'm going for the best quality I can afford. Some folks would rather get a lower mintage or a variety for their type set, and I can't blame 'em. I've gone that way a few times myself.

Looking on e bay the prices are all over the place. From
The mid 200's up to the 1500-1700. Plus there are two pages listed for sale. Not an easy sell to obtain maximum value.

Why not just a really nice MS quality coin. As the 83 proof is a coin that unless you get it for a steal is not going to increase in value, and God forbid you need to sell it may not hold it's value.
Look I love this series but proof shields are dangerous waters unless you get a truly rare one. And even so the turn over would take some time . And an auction would eat up any profit for sure.

I seem to recall mentioning using Heritage to find this out.

I'm really liking PCGS's auction prices aggregator. Also free, very easy to use. Just wish they let you filter on a grade range. It's not Graysheet, but you can't actually buy coins from the Graysheet.
