Have you seen the new layout for NGC slabs? This is new to me. The text on the tag is left-justified, whereas is was centered before.
Personally, I never liked any of the NGC or PCGS slabs. I have always loved those beautiful ANA slabs, especially the one's shaped like museum quality.
I saw this post a couple weeks ago as well. The odd thing is, I have 14 coins coming to me fresh from NGC as we speak, and they are in the normal holder, not these weird new label ones. So who knows what gives.
Someone from NGC is watching you. They are here reading all your posts. When they saw you posted your preference for the older label, they changed your slabs to old label.
Sorry if this is a dup post. This coin was submitted via NGC's submission center in Seoul through Hwadong, South Korea's preeminent auction house. Perhaps they are using different slab tags? Is that a real word, "slab tags?"
Thank you for letting me know. I was not sure how to do that. I tried that once before, but could not figure it out. How do we edit?
This is just a guess, but I would think that left-justified data entry would allow more space for additional information than center-justified data entry. Chris
Still don't like them , though I do like NGC slabs better now , I wish they'd go back to the plainer variety . To me the best slabs were the old ANACS small white slabs .
They could even lower the bar code and identification code to be just above "Numismatic Guarantee Corporation" and gain another line for more information.
I used a P-Touch Label machine for many, many years. I've used both methods for entering printed data. If you don't want to take my word for it, then why don't you buy your own machine and labels and find out for yourself. I don't have to argue with you. I know from experience! Chris
Entering data into a computer and having it center left or center center will show you that the same amount of text will fit on the same line either way. Not sure how the label machine works, but I doubt they use a label machine for their labels.
I would also like to know how you can edit a previous post you made. I got it now, I thought there might be a way to edit older posts.
You have a limited amount of time to click on "edit" near the "quote" and "reply" options on your post. A day, perhaps. After that time, the option to edit is gone.
