Fake PCGS slab?

I think the slab and the coin are both real. The PCGS site just isn't giving very detailed information on the coin, and the font on the label is different because there is more on that label than one would normally see on a PCGS label.

    I think it's fine.

You are all so sure the coin is authentic....
I think there is no way an error cent struck on a dime planchet can have traces of red....

Also, why is there no barcode below the certification number?

It is an older slab. There is a barcode on the reverse of the slab. Also, I think the red you are seeing is more of a issue with the scanner he used, and also keep in mind that the core of a dime planchet contains copper.

I think he meant why did PCGS call it MS64RD on the site.

I think it's just a clerical issue in the PCGS records.

Heck, if the slab is real, then they guarantee the coin, or do you want the slab to be slabbed?

Only if it is done by a top-tier slab slabber. Otherwise it's a waste of money.

    No offense, just teasing.
But, seriously, all "real" TPG'ers guarantee that the coins are genuine.

When you are grading a US cent the PCGS software expects it to be copper and assigns a color designation. If the coin is MS and the grader doesn't fill one in it defaults to RD.
