I will buy as many as I can before sellout, but the profit will not be as high on this one.

I think the price will do well on these, you have to look at it from the following perspective:

Truman didnt belong to a larger series of coins like the Eisenhower, and Kennedy was an American icon and also has a decent following of collectors who may wish to expand their collection to include this issue (has anyone seen the commem for it yet?). I think the demand will still drive a nice price on this issue, we will see though.

I think we'll know more once we see how quick it sells out. If it sells out within an hour then I think it will do very well.

17,000 at 2 per hh sold out in 15 minutes.

I'll say 47 minutes for the Kennedy.

It was actually under 10 minutes. Not sure why the mint said it was 15.

Eh, I won't. I still do not know what I will do with the two Eisenhower sets I bought.

That makes them look like they really did sell only 2 per hh.......;)

    When is this happening?

I need one for my Kennedy collection.

But Truman was the first RP President dollar, and Truman and Ike had mintages of only 17,000. Sure Kennedy is another RP but it is just that yet ANOTHER, and the mintage is almost three times as many.

My thinking is that you have more angles on the Kennedy set though, its the next in the RP coins which 17,000 people will need to keep their sets going, and its also a much more popular series of actual coins than the Ikes and since no series exists for the Trumans, well, you see where I am heading with that.

So you only need about 35,000 Kennedy collectors who want this piece for their set to be out of supply.

Of course none of us know, but I think it has a good shot at being a valuable coin. How many gold Kennedys did the mint end up producing?

Think we will all be amazed at how quickly it sells out. Not to mention, how many people are going to try to buy 4 sets? I think these will go into less than 25,000 different hands.

If I really had to guess, I would say less than 10,000.

He's still popular and the Mint will do everything they can to maximize their sales and profit. I predict a fast sellout and then the Mint raises the mintages.

I'm more worried about the Mint website having problems again. The Mint still hasn't addressed what went wrong with the Ike release and what they are going to do to prevent it from happening again. I got shut out of an Ike set even though I was logged onto the website before the sets went on sale and then kept getting kicked out of the checkout process. Was very frustrating and annoying!!

The limit is 2? Gee! Now all that is needed is an ANA Money Show to be staged next door to the Mint and $50 Onsite Grading at NGC & PCGS.

I could probably make a bundle selling Philly Steak & Cheese subs to the people in line outside.
