Check out the permeability of Mylar (polyethyleneterphthalate), food storage bags (polypropylene) and Saran (polyvinylidine chloride). Too bad we can't get saran any more. Think there is a market there?
Thanks for that data sheet Kentucky. These food industry Mylar bags are Mylar AND PE. So a PE inner layer + a Mylar outer layer. Not sure what number that equals on that chart.
I'm not sure either, but I sincerely think there would be a small market for Polyvinylidine chloride (saran) bags/holders/etc.
I second the use of silica gel cartridges. They are rechargeable, and do a good job of lowering the humidity in the area.
