Another Numistrust slab, another mercury dime, another chance to show off your grading expertise Bonus: You can give the grade on the holder and your own assigned grade if you are inclined to do so
If you want to compare me to a numistrust grader - please send me the coin along with the $5 fee I charge and return shipping costs. I can't get a good feel for the luster. I would put in 64/65 range from what I see in the pictures. Looks pretty nice no matter what.
Very nice strike luster looks good but obv. Looks to be a tad bit foggy, in front of her face . That could be your image,Not full bands high 64 low 65. No variety
And the winner is...... Pretty much everybody, its in a 65 holder. (Im too lazy to dig it out and post the slab) I think its pretty accurately graded although i could see it going anywhere from 64-66 @ the top 3 services
And now, just how many angels can dance on the head of a pin? I'd just call it 'Uncirculated' and leave it at that.
So youre saying that every single poster in this thread is wrong?? Look at the guesses, there all the same..... Unc would imply this coin is ms60-61, which it is not, thats why i didnt just call it an Unc and leave it at that like you suggested.
65 seems like the right grade for this. It is mark free and decently struck, but not FB. It doesn't have enough luster for 66, and the eye appeal is neutral-negative. That limits it to 65 max, I think (although I would pay a low-65 price).
