Here is an interesting piece (Medal-Coin, LOL ) which was picked out of the bonus bin. A 1867-1927 Canada Confederation with both George and Victoria looking westward... Thanks for looking Ben
I sold one of these on Ebay for $5 in April 2005 to a Toronto (Canada) customer. I am pretty sure that I acquired it in the mid 1960's from a California coin dealer. I like to think that it went home after 40 years in the US.
I picked up one of those in a local dealer's 'junk' bin, a little banged up though, but still an interesting find for 20 cents.
I've seen a few of these. They're about the same size as a Canadian 25c. coin, but twice as thick. Aidan.
Very nice Medal, Ben. I really like the color of this official token. Thanks for sharing. Regards Ballabh Garg
It commemorates the 50th anniversary of the confederation of Canada. If you think this is cool, try and find the 1939 Royal Visit to Canada commemorative medal coin. Sorry I can't add pics to aid your search.
Fiftypee,it actually commemorates the 60th. anniversary of the Confederation of the Dominion of Canada. The 50th. anniversary was in 1917. Aidan.
The 1939 Royal Visit medal is also the same size as a Canadian 25c. coin & twice as thick.I think there is a large-sized one as well. Aidan.
