here are some different coins. spanish colonial counterstamped/overstuck mess... big... small/wire money.. porcelain... dong.... edge date...
1622 Zeeland Rijksdaalder (United Netherlands), NGC VF35. Not sure what was going on with the die on this one. Probably a late die state, and perhaps the engraver had too much to drink besides?
Probably nothing earth-shattering in the group, but a friend who owns a laudromat gave me these coins which had been used in or jammed in the machines over a period of time. There's a 1964 Canadian quarter; the rest are clad or aluminum. It's an interesting mix of origins: Canada, Spain, Great Britain, France, Panama, Peru, Bahamas, Barbados, Eastern Caribbean, Jamaica, Netherland Antilles, Honduras, Hong Kong, Dominica, Cayman, Trinidad and Tobago... maybe a few others. Plus a plastic US "dime". The laundromat is in a country which uses the USD. Someday I'll take a closer look at these. Unfortunately, there were no ancient coins in the group .
