1889-CC, grade my most valuable coin!

Gramps left me this wonderful 1889-CC. It's not the best condition, but still ends up being my most valuable coin.

I'm thinking VG-10 or so. What do you think?

I'm more in the VG-8 area but it's priceless being from your Grandfather .

 

Certainly no higher than a VG-10. Yes, it is your most valuable coin and always will be.

 

I'm thinking it could go VG08 or VG10, but since it's a pretty rare coin they might give it the benefit of the doubt and make it VG10. Nice coin; sentimental value makes it priceless.

 

I think you hit the nail on VG10, after comparing a bunch of coins with a similar grade from PCGS or NGC

The incompleteness of the rims on the obverse limits this to VG-08. You *must* have fully complete rims to reach VG-10.
