1998 Silver 2p

    Hi.
    I was wondering if anyone could give me any information about a coin my daughter found. It's a silver coloured 2p dated 1998.
    Ive done a bit of Googling and I cant find anything about one from this particular year. Ive attached a photo of it placed between a normal 2p and a 10p to show the colour and size.

    That's the GB plated steel copper 2 pence version of the bronze issue on the left. They made an MS and proof of this year, and an authentic coin will weigh 7.1400g. A high condition example might fetch you $2.. though this most likely wouldn't be that example ; ) MS mintage is over 115M.
