I just recieved my 1959 D Washington quarter ANACS MS64 in the mail and i noticed a die crack on the bottom of the neck continuing down through the 1 causing the 1 to looked doubled. Any thoughts on this? Any info is appreciated.

Die cracks are very common along the base (or crest) of the neck on Washies. I wish I had a nickel for every one I've seen!

It's there. There were quite a few different die cracks on Washingtons in the 50s. They are interesting, but they don't affect the value in any way.

At first I thought the 1 was doubled until I saw that the die crack extends down through the 1. Thanks for the quick responses

You state that "you noticed" the crack after having ANACS grade the coin. Did ANACS see the die crack?

I guess not I bought this coin like this. It's been graded MS64 they did not note the die crack.
