I started a rumor at the NLG that Whitman was issuing a new 800 page book by Bowers. It is a listing of all of his books!
I have mad respect for the guy to still be able to remember and write as often as he does for his age. Not many can. Coin world is gonna lose an icon when his time comes. He'll be hard to replace.
He'll never be replaced. No one can write that fast. We had a discussion about the de-listing of the 1893/2 Barber dime. Interesting.
He seems nice and approachable, but never seen him when I have done Long Beach, the few times i've gone. Seen David Hall a few times, about it as far as "coin celebrities".
