1985-D Dime. What type of Error? Help please.

    1985 D Dime.

    Im having a hard time figuring out the different types of errors. All i know is that this dime doesn't look right.
    Its flatter and thicker than a normal dime.
    Let me know your opions of this coin.

    IMO this is a PMD Dime- Post Mint Damage. Looks worn. You can tell by the words IN and WE. Also the Obverse was slightly Misaligned that's why it's thicker on one side.

    It's not damaged. Most 1985-D dimes look like this. It's caused by a combination of excessive obverse die convexity (a design flaw) and inadequate upset.
