Carson City Mint - coin show Aug 21st and 22nd - any other excitement happening?

Anyone else going to the coin show in Carson City in 2 weeks? And is there anything else going on to check out? Discount coupons that someone knows of maybe? (yeah, I'm cheap like that!) $4 entrance fee - you'd think they only wanted Rockefellers! (less than a bottle of water at the state fair though...)

I set up there for a few years but have not gone the past couple years. Not as exciting to me when it is not at the mint.

 

No coins shows in my area but I do have a rock, gem and mineral show to go to this weekend.

 

Here in the SF Bay Area there will be the Santa Clara 3-day Coin Show in San Jose, CA on Aug. 28th, 29th, 30th.
The new location is the Santa Clara Fairgrounds, 344 Tully Road, San Jose, CA

 

I found the lecture schedule on the museum website. I think the "Hidden Secrets of the Carson City Mint" will be a good one.

I've also met Logan McKechnie, nice guy. I'll try to make the VAM DNA session.
