It's a real PCGS slab, but cracked open and refilled.
A very poor attempt to bamboozle, but someone will bite!

Are we sure it is not some kind of sample slab? I have seen ungraded coins before like that in holders.

Genuine slab and label, bulk submission.

That's the first one I've seen like that. Can you post or link other examples?

Alrighty, no crying wolf for me today :)

    Thanks for educating me WCoins.

Too bad, that label looks terrible.

When I go to the link, I find another forum where someone says that it is a super-bulk submission, but the only image I see looks like the same one from e-bay. Are there any others?

The coin on that forum is another date, not the same coin.

Here's one more - same date but not same coin

Why would someone take the time to crack a slab and insert an ugly worthless label? Someone faking these would put a MS65 label or something like that.

Not doubting your word, it's just that so few people admitted to ever seeing such a thing. Also, it almost looks like the weird label was just stuck on. Makes me want to peel it off and see what is underneath.

It does surprise me this is the first one I am seeing. If it is from a "super bulk" submission, shouldn't they be popping up like needles on a Christmas tree?

I won't be buying it regardless but I appreciate the education.
