Wow, they moved from a buy-it-now of $25,000 to $250. Hmm....perhaps they woke up? That must have cost them a fortune in fees.
For the sake of amusement: Lets say that this coin is not AT it is in fact NT. What in the heck could have caused this to tone like that in such a short period of time? I KNOW I KNOW... It was stored under a blow torch for a while by accident? Sorry but I see nothing more in that coin than whatever current bullion is.
That is ridiculous...PCI even mentioned on the holder that it was questionable but PCGS did not BB it, rather they gave it a grade point higher!
dont assume PCGS saw the PCi slab ... either way - there is little excuse for PCGS to slab that coin... totaly kills alot of customer confidence hobbyists may have had for PCGS IMHO
I don't assume PCGS ever saw the PCI slab. I had assumed that PCGS didn't higher blind graders, but maybe that assuption was a poor one, if something like this can get by them! If even the supposedly most reputable grading service will slab junk like that, I think it calls ALL grading services into question. More and more I'm starting to lose confidence in grading comapines in general.
Like I have said many times in the past, none of the companies are perfect. PCGS can just as easily overgrade as some of the other companies. But honestly, I think that is just absurd. Pretty though. And to think they didn't even put anything on the label. Lol, it is neat though. Wonder if PCGS will do anything about it, but probably not. Makes you wonder what the people were probably drinking earlier before they graded it, lol. Phoenix
