Im at 65 buffalos are hard to grade by photo...way to much going on to make a difinative guess at times with someones photo. Ill go 65 easy maybe a 66. As 1929 buffalos had nice strikes.
Your S mm has been cut off the bottom of the photo making it impossible to call a a rpm.and variety.

The image of the date isnt clear enough to see the die crack in the date that would also confirm the variety.

Could be 63 to 65. I think luster in hand has a lot to do with the route they will go which is hard to determine by pictures.

I haven't gotten to collect many Buffaloe Nickels, so I really couldn't give you a grade. I do like them. I've heard that raw coins can tone quickly, so, if that's the case, you might want to check with these folks as to what is the best way to preserve your nickle. Best of luck.

@ddddd beat me to it. Reading the other entries have me leaning heavily to the higher side. The strike on that coin, both the obverse and reverse, are very nice, so the TPG may take that into consideration.
Be sure to let us know when you get the official grade.

I can't see anything wrong with it. It looks like an MS-65 to me.

The ear and horn look complete. So, the tail must be just strike. This all comes down to the luster. I am at 65, if the luster is all there.
But think it will grade 63.

I wish there was a direct video upload feature here for videos. It’d make viewing things much easier.
