I just started recently collecting coins. My mother passed away a year ago and left me some Morgan silver dollars she had saved from her father. Just holding those and looking through them hooked me immediately. I now save any cool coin I come across and occasionally buy rolls from the bank and search them. It's a great stress relief for me as well as reminds me of my mother. I have three kids which I save all my findings for them so I can pass it on. I've been extremely "Lucky" in finding silver in my change and coin roll hunting.
Good for you. I just lost my mother 3 weeks ago but I already had the coins from dad. Such a good memory every time you look at them. Keep searching and enjoy.
Thanks. She would have been 99 in October so she had a good long life. Still, I miss her, dad and my sister. Such is life. One is born and another dies, a time for every season as the Bible says. I now have more time to buy and look at my coins. I also have more time to work, which means I'll have more money to buy more coins and stack more silver.
