1976 D & 1971 D cents (mint errors or post mint damage?)

    Good afternoon, here I have two coins-the 1st being a 1976 D that's rim is flat @ the top. Secondly a 1971 D that has (looks like etched swirls on the obverse & reverse?) I'm really not sure- thank you
