My new book coming out in late 2016/early 2017 - The Forgotten Coins of the North American Colonies - 25th Anniversary Edition - will have a chapter on Chinese Fake Coins. I do wonder how much people spend on modern forgeries? IMO it seems there is not much we can do to curtail the beiginner in buying this stuff but I do ask is how much money (big money) is going towards this garbage? I think most people if they had a $1,000 would buy a NGC or PCGS coin from an American dealer ... I know fake slabs ... still ... in any case ... I wrote a buyer beware chapter.
