    I also think these make up a nice interest and have particular eye appeal.

    RIC VIII 116 is "horseman wears a pointed cap". Maybe I'm reading it wrong?

    All the 116 varieties are "bare headed" so I'm confused.

    Looking at the examples on Wildwinds they would all appear to be bare headed.

    Well, I just bought another one at a modest price---the reverse the primary reason, since this Gallus coin is about fine---the rider above the ground and still straddling the horse which hasn't quite completely stumbled to the ground...

    I really like the fallen horseman type. I only have one and sadly don't have a picture to share. :oops:
