    Last of the 7 coins. This has a nice green patina, a little dirt left on both sides, but I think I will leave it alone.

    Coin: Bronze Follis
    GAL VAL MAXIMIANVS NOB CAES - laureate head right
    GENIO POPVLI ROMANI - Genius standing left holding cornucopia and pouring libation from patera, ANT in exergue, K in left field, Gamma and V in right field
    Mint: Antioch (293-305 AD)
    Wt./Size/Axis: 8.31g / 27mm / -

    that's a nice lookin' galerius , i wouldn't touch it either pish....perfect amount of "crud" on there IMHO.

    I don't think the engravers at the Antioch mint had any idea what any of the tetrarchs looked like. I can spot an Antioch mint coin from a mile away, since they all seem to have these generic "fat-head" busts that look like the emperor is wearing a space helmet. Here is a coin of Constantius Chlorus, which could easily be the OP coin if you just changed the obverse legend...

    By contrast, my one large follis of Galerius comes from Siscia, and is quite lifelike...

    MAXIMIANVS NOB CAES - laureate, cuirassed bust right (small head, long neck)
    GENIO POPV-LI ROMANI - Genius standing left, modius on head, naked but for chlamys draped over shoulder (hangs low), holding patera and cornucopiae. No mintmark.
    Mint: London (300-305 AD)
    Wt./Size/Axis: 9.42g / 27mm / -
