In my opinion, this is one of the two best Caligula reverses, the other being the three sisters reverse. The obverse portrait is also generally good on these coins, and this one is no exception. It's a wonderful addition to any ancient coin collection. Whenever I look at this coin I always wonder what the actual ancient AD LOCUT event was really like. Maybe we should ask TIF to stage a diorama of this event (as she has with another coin)!
Wow ro1974, that coin is absolutely amazing (the beautifully coloured patina has me all fired-up!! ... yummy) Oh, and I also love the reverse (four aquilae behind) ... => yup, that makes it an animal-coin => green-light!! Dude, you are certainly bringing some fantastic coins to CT ... who is this guy?!! Please keep 'em coming!!
