Here are a few coin like objects. A mail coach token, 1 halfpenny. Coronation souvenir for Queen Anne. And one for George IV, Quite nice condition. and an 18th C coin weight.
Paddy54, how come all these bumps?. That isn't very considerate to others who have different topics. If you need help, just ask for it. If you like to read these type of posts, think about the others who have different interest but refrain. I'm surprised because you never did this before and I was just on another thread where it occurred. As a courtesy, it is not usually done. What's up? This is not you.
It does seem a little slow lately I know some maybe getting overload on my token postings, but the bulk penny swap did contain a lot of tokens in 4 different boxes and another is currently on the way.
I'm sorry, I thought you were more mature than that. I will adjust my thinking. It's usually very young new YN's that do that. Perhaps I over evaluated you. After all, this thread is only 167 pages long, so it doesn't need assistance surviving. You should start with the post in question and go back through the threads and see how long it takes to find another "bump" by anyone.
Sit on it Sam ! I personally don't give a Rat's Hoo Ha what you think or believe! As I stated before it's none of your frigging business. So keep your comments to yourself or just press the iggy button.
Since there's been no notice of the passing of Peter or Doug,or any other mods here,I Don't know who's died and left you boss ,or elevated you to a moderator. So Sam for last time mind your own business . It's horses (!)'s like you who think they can come here and throw their weight around. To other members here who this has effected, my apologies . But I not putting up with some blow hard here who thinks he's the new sheriff in town .
I like that mail coach token. Here is one that JWT might like since you're interested in Military Trade Tokens. I found this with a metal detector by an old stage stop east of Albany NY. Good for 5 cents in trade - Company 'K' 30 INF Exchange. Doesn't look as bad in person as it does in the scan.
GREAT FIND! SO JEALOUS! Man, you need to consult the experts on CoinTalk about what to do to keep that one from getting any worse. I don't have time right now to look it up but I will later unless someone beats me too it.
Well your token is a long way from home! Fort William H. Steward, Alaska Cunningham number AK580 Obv.: COMPANY "K" / (ornament) / 30TH INF. / (ornament) / EXCHANGE Rev: GOOD FOR / 5 / CTS / IN TRADE (Aluminum, scalloped, 30mm; 1914 Army list) Book value $50 (These values are meaningless except to try and understand the scaricity and popularity of a particular token around the time of publication.)
