    This is my 4th sweet, sweet coin from Lorraine (France) ... man, I absolutely love the coins from this region (cool artists, with my coin-taste!!)

    ... okay sure, maybe this baby isn't exactly ancient ... but I love you guys, so I wanted to give you first look at my newest coin!!

    Reverse: + mOnЄTΛ : nOVΛ : FΛCTΛ : In : nΛnCЄIO : (double saltire stops), armored arm, wielding sword, emerging from clouds

    The correct rotation is the second pictured. Orient it with the initial cross in the legend.

    Steve, those are the best Medieval coins I have seen in quite a while---incredibly detailed and eye-catching!!

    I guess it's the Lorraine area---either way, I LOVE THEM!!

    Wonderfull Lorraine coins Steve. Il love medieval french coins too. To respond to your knight, here's a "cavalier d'or" de Pierre II de Bourbon (ruler of the principality of Dombes 1488-1503)
