Still have a long way to go and some of what I have collected I will upgrade when the right opportunity presents itself - but I thought I would share my progress. :)

I know some of these are blurry, sry - was a little rushed - but you get the idea.

    Best Regards,

    Darryl

These are really nicely toned but they are my wife's. Not sure if I will break up this set or not and it may not be up to me.

    Enjoy

Pretty coins. The Kennedy half is one of my favorites. I don't know why it isn't more popular.

Thank you both. I really enjoy looking at them laid out on a table. I cannot wait to get closer to having a complete set. This is the first time that I have been spending a majority of my time looking at the same type of coin in different conditions. I think it's a great exercise as you get to see the differences in type and how they might grade.

    Best Regards,

I agree. It is the best design of all clad coins in my opinion and will probably be more appreciated in the future than it is at the present time.

If the series ever ends, or at least significantly changes, I bet you will see a lot more people get interested in this series. As for me, this is the second series I started collecting, after Lincoln cents (and one of only two coins I collect by series, I'm really more of a type collecter). I started collecting this coin after I saw one, not realizing that they were still making them (a common reaction among people who see them, lol, a lot of people have never seen these or know they still mint them!)

You can actually see interest in Eisenhower dollars picking up a bit. I think these, along wirh Roosevelt dimes, are very underrated right now and have a lot of potential for gaining collector interest in the future.

I actually have a complete collection of the business strikes, I just have to keep up with the new ones minted every year.

    Very nice collection.

I would be concerned about the black airtite inserts next to your coins. I've seen more than a few instances where these black rings have caused ugly rim toning on the coins. Personally, if these were my coins, I'd order white inserts post-haste....Mike

Very nice Kennedy Halves Darryl. I started a set of these but have been concentrating on a few other sets in my collection. My goal ,when Im done series collecting, is to have 20 different complete sets in 10 years or less.

And this is why I love this place. Thank you for the advice!!! I would hate to learn that lesson the hard way...

Thank you. When done with these (or at some point during the process) I am going to assemble a really nice set of Ikes and then maybe Franklins. These three interest me the most at this moment. If I ever come into more money I wouldn't mind collecting a set of Morgans, but that may be a little beyond my budget. I am looking at some mint set thinking this may be a great way to start other series while helping with what I already have going.
