Does anyone ever have any luck finding commemorative half dollars when going through boxes of halves. Either the newer 1982+ halves or the old rarer ones, if so what have you found?

It would be very rare but I recall someone posting they found a classic in a roll years ago.

Someone I know recently got a classic, Iowa one from a local bank around here, so I was wondering if that ever happens in rolls from the fed, I live in Iowa and you sometimes hear of people finding that coin but not really any others.

I have found one (1893) Columbian half, but that's it. Not worth much more than the average 90% half; by the time you sell it and ship it, you might as well throw it back in the barrel.

I found a Pilgrim once. Otherwise the usual Statue of liberty a few times.

I found a Booker T. Washington silver half about a year ago. I have found several clad commemoratives. As a matter of fact I found a 2008 Bald Eagle commemorative this weekend.

I found clad Olympic baseball but that was from a teller that new I collected coins. I have never found any in fed wrapped halfs. But I only look at fed wrapped if the teller is trying to get rid of them.
