I have 2 1973D Kennedy half dollars with the following rim blobs. Is this a minting error? post mint damage? If minting error, what would it be called? Thx 95.JPG 96.JPG

That is a new one to me. Does the entire coin, obverse and reverse, edge show that a same anomaly?
Showing the entire coin, both sides, in Full Image, helps when we only have photos to go by.
My first (really my only)thought is possibly a "thick" planchet caused the metal to push harder into the collar and the results is what you have. Just a guess, but hey, I'm on medication, so take it as you wish.

@paddyman98 will have an answer for you.

Here are full images. Yes it appears to go all the way around the rim on the reverse side. The obverse side looks normal to me.

At first I thought it was just post mint damage but it looked kind of odd for that. Couldn't quite figure out how it could get damaged that way - individual blobs on each reed as opposed to larger blobs created by some sort of smushing.
