So I bought 10 bucks(20rolls) worth of pennies today and searched through them as I worked in my office... Id say I scored pretty well...

First and foremost I found 11 DIMES in my pennies 1 of which was SILVER!(1964)

I found 27 wheat pennies, most from the 50s but 6 from the 30's and 2 from the 20's

but the excitement came when I found a 1972 DOUBLE DIE OBVERSE in awsome condition. I plan to get it graded as the red book shows ms63 is worth 650.00!

I generally seperate all before 1982 since there copper.. Maybe one day pre 1982 pennies will be worth something much like wheat pennies are today.Id say it was a great penny searching day....

Not only did you find all that. You did it while getting PAID! (and not fired, lol). I'd say it was a GREAT day!

nice finds! there seems to be a lot of good finds in cents! make sure you post pictures! thats cool that you found a silver dime. i imagine you were thrilled! i also save all the copper cents. those are worth around $1.25 a roll, just of the copper in them!

Sounds like you had a great day of searching.

You should post a pic of the 72 DDO before you send it off to be graded as it may only be shelf doubling. The 1972 cents seem to have a more than usual amount of machine DDO's.
I hope it's the real deal!

    Great finds

nice score. were the rolls from a commercial wrapper or an individual? my bank gets theirs from a service.

picked up 2 rolls of nickels and 1 roll of dimes yesterday. the big score for me was a 1940 Jefferson nickel. there was a 1948, but i already had one. both were in VG condition. the bank has a coin counting machine - i dumped in 1614 pennies yesterday and have another 1600+ to dump Saturday. i'm going to get $6.00 woth of pennies and $4.00 worth of nickels. that should be a fun time!

if you really want to find good stuff, ask for a box. i don't think 2 or 3 rolls will get you far. i keep any pre 1960 jefferson i get.
