Dear community, these 48 hours were really crazy for me. I have an addiction for social networks, that's why I closed my facebook page many years ago.I focused on traveling trying to mimic "Eat Pray Love" The best part, I loved it. The worst part, I become addicted.I travel every year for extended period. So here we are, I am traveling again, Cancun, Spain, Rome. My Latin is rusting, so I just bought a new book. I'm at page 19, 862 more to go. I am leaving the forum for a long time. I don't know if I will be back. If anyone need help with Latin inscriptions just drop me a line at edited I will do my best. Google's latin is really horrible. my little store will continue to function, I left someone in charge. Farewell . Amicis Meis Vale.
I'm not sure I understand. I travel extensively as do others. But with the miracle of the internet and wifi, I stay in touch unless my work dictates otherwise. Oh well, safe travels.
Have a great trip!!!! (or is it a 'Sabbatical' as jeffB states?) Anyway, I envy your ability to travel as you wish---I have to get to Southern Italy sometime this year or early next---of course, that includes Rome besides Naples and the infamous Vesuvius...
Enjoy your travels! Gosh, I miss Italy! My Latin is rotten, but I enjoy learning it as it the basis of many of the European languages... helps in listening to other languages. GodSpeed and safe, non-eventful travels!
Ahhh, Mikey! Drag me along! Enjoy YOUR upcoming trip! My wife and I are looking into a trip to Europe. She wants me to drive from Wales across the continent, hitting B&B's. Some planning to do...
Unless you are planning a very lengthy trip, that may be too much to accomplish. Image coming to the US thinking you can see all the sights by driving across the country on a 10-14 day trip. Not going to get see or enjoy much. Just a suggestion. Pick a place you want to explore this year. Then another place next year. And so on. We spent two weeks in the Andalucia, Spain region and still felt rushed. Same with the Provence Region of France or three weeks in the city of Prague alone. Whatever you do, have fun and enjoy the cuisine of the regions visited.
I agree with you. I have already driven many of the countries in Europe, and I still hold a British DL. Lived there a while while expatriating running a company there. We had Business Units all over Europe (Corp. was based out of Europe), and I loved to visit the other BU's/Factories/Suppliers/etc. Agreed on trying to compress a trip into a couple weeks... we may extend it into a "mini-sabbatical" and save money hitting hostels... just thoughts and planning stages now.
Life is too short and there are so many places to see, enjoy and be safe. While you're there is there any chance you could pick me up some...tut what am I like.[emoji6] take care.
