I might try and make the run down to Fremont. A local dealer has had a coin "on tour" all summer and I kinda want it. But I probably won't go. I hate that drive.

I may go to one of these this weekend if I decide to sell some coins there or at least see what they will give me. Maybe I will get offered melt for coins like below and walk away lol. Of course I may change my mind and not sell anything or list on Ebay. I am leaning toward not selling any Peace Dollars, standing quarters, or Barber coins.

The local show here is supposed to be open till 4 PM but if you go at 2 PM, nobody is there. Anyone else deal with that at their local show? I went early and at 8 A.M everyone is there but seems at noon they are all ready to clear out.

    bkozak33,

Giordano's used to be very good but they cheapened the recipe. It got bought out by an east coast company and the quality has dropped.

    Lou Malnati's is also excellent.

Regarding Rosemont is an ANA Money convention site - it is a convenient location because it is in the middle of the country in a big city - but parking is way high and the food quality at a decent price is highly lacking.

absolutely I see that - especially in the summer when coin show attendance is lacking

San Diego Coinarama on Saturday was heavily attended, and the prices on non-slabbed coins were good. Slabbed coins were about -10% off the Greysheets ask on PCGS and NGC, and more on ANACs. Many foreign coin and paper available. also ancients. Cheapest ASE were 20.25, highest was 22.50 for 5+. Dealers were making deals for large purchases, as show expenses were getting too high for out of state dealers. More are not putting any pricing at all on coins until asked. At least this year wasn't the same weekend as Comic-Con!! One of their better shows. Boy Scouts were doing a merit badge class and added to the fun of the show. Jim
