Probably another diagnostic or pick up point. We don't even know what the reverse looks like. (Too lazy to go look it up)
Very true. I find myself IDing certain overdates not by the date (since I'd need a microscope and a vivid imagination to see it) but by distinctive features on the reverse.
Upon further searching this is the sole PO01 $2.5 Classic Head graded by PCGS. A fine coin for a lowball set. http://www.pcgs.com/pop/detail.aspx?c=757&p=MS&t=1
Awesome coin, love it! It has a beauty all its own. I wouldnt want it to gold bean, that would mean its actually premium for the grade making it closer to a PO2. If I wanted to lowball, I would really want the lowest grade possible with identifiable details so you know what it is at least.
Not sure if you can get a lower grade than this but I do know that's what's guaranteed is death and taxes.
That's one of my favorite Ben Franklin quotes! Another one of my favorites is "three men can keep a secret if two of them are dead."
Ohhh, I need a P1 for my CAC collection! BTW, it could go lower. CAC could think it's a problem coins and should not have numerically graded, and thus would not sticker. Or CAC could have thought it was at the low end of the P1 grade.
CAC should make a "bottom of the barrel" sticker specifically for low ball set coins, so you know your coin is the worst of the worst!
