    I don't know Larry , as I'm not seeing the tool mark in the front of B of Liberty and her mouth seems different . Unless it's a LDS and the tool mark wore away . Though you hit it on the reverse die . Interesting .

    I'm not sure that is a tool mark. Tough to see much from the images. Different die state for sure but all the cracks match up. I think it's just a cool old coin with a lot of stuff going on.

    What do you mean "no '52 listed"? Over 1 million minted at Philadelphia.

    I meant in a book I have named "United States Gold Counterfeit Detection Guide" by Bill Fivaz . It's mostly a book with known fakes and their PUPS . It's only good if you have a confirmation as it can't keep up with new fakes . It mostly lists high quality gold fakes .

    The eagle's right leg is very often weakly struck with little detail. The planchets flaw in the reverse field doesn't involve the "A" in America so it doesn't look like anything was attached there. Those things don't tell me if it is real or fake.

    Look at the die cracks. They match the PCGS coin I posted.
