Is this an error coin?1986 quarter.

    It has been soaked in acid. the acid eats the copper core faster than the nickel copper outer layers...

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

    Acids eat the copper faster than the copper/nickel alloy. The core is 100% copper. Not an error. Not worth more than face value.
